Golden City, Arvada Brewery, Twin Peaks, Iron Works

Golden City brewery beer was great, even better than 1st time (a few months ago). The boys seemed to like the Black Hops a lot. Arvada Brewery had a very professional brew, marketed to the masses, perhaps another Coors in the making. Twin Peaks had Dale's Pale Ale on tap, which wins a lot of points with me, and the food (Blackened Fish Tacos) was very good. Iron Works was great beer as always, though atmosphere is somewhat lacking. Overall, a great time was had by all.

Beer Tour #1

The day the BBT (Boys Beer Tour) got started.  DanO, Kent, Scott, TonyV and Robert made this trip.  We started with Coors, then off to Golden City Brewery.  I thought the Coors tasting room was awesome. One sample of Banquet Beer, as fresh as your ever gonna get it, never tasted anything like it. :) So good!

Once in the tasting room, every guest could get (3) 10oz beers.  The young Coors boys like to microbrew and it shows, the tasting room is where you can taste the successful experiments that haven't hit the streets yet.  I started the blog long after we started keeping track of the beers the boyz and I are drinking - sorry.  We'll go back, trust me.

After Coors, we visited the "second largest brewery in Golden" - Golden City Brewery.  Great location and Great Environment!  A traditional beer garden.  Pitchers of beer are offered at a step-up window, then you belly up with your soon-to-be-new-friends on over-sized picnic tables.  Lights hanging in the trees, and if it's cold there is a fire pit to keep everyone warm - warm enough.  Cool place and once again I can't remember the beers we tasted, but I remember leaving very satisfied.  We'll be back at the Golden City Brewery in December.  Will update the beer list then...
